Petite Fashionistas
It's not always easy being petite. From never being able to find pants that fit to having to constantly endure "short" jokes, it seems that many people incorrectly believe that there is something wrong with being petite. Personally, I love it (except for when I'm shopping). To prove my point here are just a few female celebs who have managed to make being petite look nothing short of AMAZING.

2010 VMA Fashion Misses
The MTV Video Music Awards aired Sunday night and I have to say they were pretty boring! The white carpet was full of celebs, some looking ok and others not so much. Since no one was a huge hit for me, I think it would be more entertaining to talk about the misses. Here are some of my least favorite (female) looks for the night.
1. Katy Perry
I'm not quite sure what look she was going for but to me she looks like she's getting ready to step out on the ice in her figure skating costume.
2. Ke$ha
At this point I'd be more surprised to see her wear something almost stylish to a red carpet event. Can you hear that? Tick, tick, tick....the clock is (finally) winding down on her career.
3. Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga has made a career off of being quirky and I can appreciate that. However, there is no reason to rock a dress made entirely of raw meat. Can you say unsanitary?
4. Evan Rachel Wood
Poor thing. I don't even know what to say about this look except fire your stylist immediately! I do actually love her red hair but that's about it.
5. Cher
Cher, the 80s called and they want their outfit back! Don't get me wrong, I was happy to see Cher make an appearance but why she had to do it in that getup is beyond me.
Amazing Transformation: Kelly Osbourne
I know it has been a little while since Kelly Osbourne started sporting her new, glamorous look but every time I see her I can't get over how amazing she looks. She went from being the whiny, immature, socially awkward, and just plain weird daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne to a much more mature, polished, sophisticated and glamorous version of herself (who would have ever thought those words would be used to describe Kelly!). I think she looks absolutely stunning, healthy, and happy. I hope she keeps up whatever she is doing because it is definitely working for her!
Here is Kelly before her transformation...
And here she is after...amazing!

Style Icon: Vanessa Williams
I know what you are thinking-Vanessa Williams? Yes and let me tell you why. Style is about more than putting on "fashionable" clothes. It's about an aura, a sense of pride, the way you carry yourself, an intangible that no one can quite put their finger on and that cannot be imitated. Vanessa Williams has for years been an icon. She was able to cement a career at a time when black people were shut out of Hollywood. She carried herself through her divorces with dignity and class and even when she had to move back in with her parents after the end of her first marriage, you never saw her resort to some of the shameless trash talking and media wars that we often see now. Like Yves Saint Laurent famously said "fashion fades, style is eternal". Say what you want but 20 years later people still know Vanessa Williams' name. She has proved that style is about more than what you put on the outside of your body.
Here are some of my favorite looks from Ms. Williams.

Adventures in Online Shopping
Online shopping is extremely convenient. From the comfort of your home you can browse through hundreds of items that probably wouldn't be available in your local store. These days most places make it extremely easy to return any items you don't like by offering free returns and free postage. Despite all of this sometimes I still hate online shopping. Don't get me wrong, most times I still love it. However there are a few sites that I have a problem with. I won't name any store in particular but quite a few are guilty. Here are some of my major issues:
1) I HATE when I place an item in my shopping cart and continue to browse the site, by the time I go to checkout (on the same day only a few minutes later) the item is no longer available.
2) I HATE when I order an item in my size then get an email two days later saying it is no longer available.
3)I HATE when I make an order and less than 24 hours later the price has been substantially reduced. I guess this happens in stores too but I would just return the item and re-purchase it.
4) I HATE when the item purchased is nowhere near the quality or the color shown on the website. This is why I love websites like Asos.com that allow you to view each item on a video catwalk.
5)I HATE stores that still charge ridiculous prices for shipping. Seriously sometimes you can spend more on shipping than you do on your actual purchase.
What are some of your biggest issues with online shopping?
